Owl True Love Valentine Card

This card is on red cardstock from Stampin' Up. I used white paper from Walmart and the kraft paper is from Paper Trey Ink. Used all scraps for the owls, clothes, branches, hearts, and owl wings. (I love my scrap paper system!). The word "love" in red is from a punch by Martha Stewart and the hearts are from various punches. Used a dollar stamp for the "Happy Valentines Day" greeting and I stamped that using the Blazing Red ink from StazOn. I used two circle hole punches for the circle dots by the greeting. The scalloped red piece was done with a Fiskars scallop punch. Pop dots were used behind the greeeting and both owls for dimension.  *** This card was published in the "Just Cards-Holidays" magazine which was available in September 2011 ***

Thanks Theresa--I just felt she should have a pretty dress--and as we all know pretty owl dresses have ruffles--haha... So she got the ruffles and he got the wings.. but whenever I see the owls they are done the same way and I did want her to look more "girly". TFL! Candee P
