A face only a mother could love . . . .

Happy Mother's Day to a mom of FIVE --- suppertime in the South --

Update to the story --- had a bird build a nest on the plug on the front porch by the ceiling near the front door last year. . .   over the winter DH removed that nest and then he reads up and builds not one but 3 bird houses for the blue birds to the specks they like --- facing the direction they like, etc. DH also built a condo -- has 8 bird houses -- for the sparrows..... to date just one blue bird family has moved in and DH is not a happy landlord..... but the different type of  bird from last year --- builds another nest on top of the plug on the porch again . . .

Mom has 5 eggs she tends to and when I go out the front door I always move slow so I don't startle her and the kiddies. All 5 eggs hatched and now are all fuzzy  -- I waited for Mom to go to the grocery store for supper (the front yard and garden for the fav bugs and worms) and I got up on the ladder and took photos... sooooo cute but a face only a mother could love . . .  (am thinking we are keeping the cleaning deposit though --- hahaha)  TFL and this is what life is about ---

Love every thing about your Mother's Day story!
Those birds are lucky to have built their nest in the area around your nest! :-)

Enjoyed these pics. Good shots of these babies. The birds take 'pieces' of our door wreaths and evidently use for building material.Sometimes we can stand back away from the door, the bird must see our shadow, and will cock his head to look in at us. If we stand perfectly still, he(or she) just keeps on stealing material. If we move, he'll fly away - return later. Birds are fun to watch...BUT VERY MESSY! TFS
