So I wondered . . .
Am planning on making small boxes to hold Halloween treats and inside I will have the small candy bags from the candy aisle at the craft stores filled with candy corn. But did not want to use a plain wrapping bag. So I wondered ? ? ?
How to decorate these clear candy bags to have some design on them --- decided to use an embossing folder and StazOn ink --- for my sample I used the Chevron patterned embossing folder by Darice --
Had the Cuttlebug in place with plate A and then a plate B on top of that. Opened the embossing folder and ran the StazOn ink pad over the raised side of the folder. Placed the clear candy bag on top of the opened embossing folder and placed another plate B over that. On top of the second B plate I put 4 pieces of white/GP card stock cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 in a stack. Ran this all through the Cuttlebug and this transferred the inked pattern to the clear bag front. I put a piece of white card stock inside the bag for the photo to show this better:
Using the StazOn ink the inked pattern will not smear or come off the bag front. Be sure to use StazOn cleaner on your embossing folder right away to clean your ink off of it. This will be nice to add a little pattern to the treat bags and with all the embossing folders out there the patterns are endless --- use holly for Christmas, snowflakes and blue ink for the holidays, pumpkins for Thanksgiving, stars for July 4th, eggs for Easter. Just have to decide which folder pattern you want to use. TFL and YOLO
