Garage Sales and a shopping Saturday morning . . .

Coming home from Mikes earlier this week when I drove past a neighborhood yard sale sign for today... came home and told DH about the sale and plans were made. Off we went this morning and I found a couple of good deals - here is a photo of an Iris drawer unit --- perfect height for under the craft room work table --- none of the drawers are cracked or broken so for $5.00 it was a good deal:

Just needs to be cleaned up and filled up and having it under the work table is a perfect location for all the things you need but not on your table top.

Also picked up this Sizzix Big Kick  machine for $3.00 -- will be teaching classes soon so this machine will come handy for classes and for $3.00 it was too good to leave behind:

Can always use an extra machine for classes -- but best part is not only does it work but for $3.00 I got the machine, the platform, and both clear plates. Great deal for sure.

That gal also had misc items in baggies for sale and I picked up a baggie for $3.00 that had bunches of odds and ends but I bought it mainly for these mini clothespins -- great for tag toppers, treat bag toppers, etc --- the red will be good for Christmas as well as Valentine's Day and 4th of July:

After the sale I wanted to stop at AC Moore as they had a 55% coupon for today and that is too good of a coupon to let expire. Walked over to the scrapbooking section and in the drive aisle of the store was a big table that held these Halloween (and other) paper packs from American Crafts and also from Pebbles --- BOO Day is soon so I picked up two of these paper packs for Halloween:

The paper packs were on sale for $7.88 each and they are packs of 12 x 12 printed card stocks. Happy to find them but nothing else caught my eye --- until ---

Went over to the shelves of packs of card stocks and found a pack of 12 x 12 glittered card stock in various colours by DCWV.  I have found most sheets of glittered card stocks are too thick for punches and for dies to cut so I do not use any other glittered card stock other than the brand from Hobby Lobby as with their brand all punches and dies work for cutting out shapes. Since their brand is sold in individual sheets it can be pricey if you want a few different colours. Knowing the quality DCWV sells I opened a pack of their glittered card stock and here are a few of the colours in the pack I bought and in person these sheets are very glittery but the camera did not really capture it:

These glittered sheets are not only very glittery but they have a smooth finish and not too thick for punches or dies to cut through. They will be perfect for the upcoming holidays. Using the 55% coupon this DCWV pack was very affordable.

Good shopping/sale-ing day for me. Happy to have the 55% coupon from AC Moore and remember if you can not find anything at ACM that Mike's also honors their coupons so you may find something there that you want. TFL and YOLO
