Distress Resist Card

Had seen the video by Jennifer McGuire and I made this card using her tips:

My card stock base is #110 weight white card stock from Mikes. The distressed piece for the front of my card is white/GP. I used these distress inks to add colour to the card front:

Mowed Lawn
Evergreen Bough
Peacock Feathers
Mermaid Lagoon
Salty Ocean
Dusty Concord

To begin with I cut and scored the white card stock base, scored at the top. Cut my white/GP piece to the size I would need for the card front.  I used a stamp set from Gina K Designs - Old Country Roses and using VersaMark ink I inked the stamp and stamped my white/GP piece using the MISTI. Used white embossing powder and heat set that. Used the distressed inks in the above order and added ink over the embossed flowers. Once done I used a clean paper towel to rub ink off the embossed flowers. With that done I set it aside.

Using a retangle die I cut another piece of white/GP for the card front. Used a "Hello" stamp from my stash and stamped that on the white piece using VersaMark ink. Covered that with black embossing powder and heat set that. The greeting "A note to say" is by Pink and Main and I used black Memento ink for that. For both the "Hello" and greeting pieces I used the craft foam as instructed in the video:

Using the ATG I put the distressed card front onto the card stock base. Added the "Hello" piece and greeting piece to the card front. Used clear Nuvo crystal drops to my card front:

Easy card to make -- Thanks to Jennifer for her video. TFL

I LOVE this! The embossed and sponged background is even prettier with that wonky rectangle! I need to CASE this one!
