Wreath Flip Card

Many times card makers share their cards and how-to's only to find your card did not come together as theirs . . .  But surprisingly enough this card was as easy to make as the card on the video. This is a holiday flip card using the Stampin Up Wondrous Wreath bundle. Here is the card:

In my photo I used removable adhesive to keep the card closed for the photo. This is a flip card and the front wreath fits over the wreath on the inside of the card:

This card layout is from Zoe Tant and her blog is: stampingscene.blogspot.com. The video for this card was made by Brenda Quintana and here is the link for the video:

Brenda shows all the tips and tricks that Zoe shared making her card. In the video Brenda used the pre-cut and scored cards from Stampin Up. When you use those note cards your card will measure approx 3 1/2" wide x 5" high. I wanted to make an A2 card - 4 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" high so I made a card following Brenda's instructions and then made an A2 card with adjustments to the pattern. Here is a photo to show the A2 size card next to the smaller card so you can see the size difference:

Cut and scored my white card stock base for an A2 card and left this flat -- did not crease my scored line.  With my card stock base open and flat I measured 2 1/8" from the front left edge of the card since that is half of the 4 1/4 width. Made my pencil marks on the card as Brenda instructs. Now for stamping.

The base of my wreath is stamped using SU Wild Wasabi ink. The second leaf stamp to the stamp set I stamped using SU Garden Green ink. SU Real Red was used for the berries on the wreaths. Stamped the greeting on the inside of the card using the Real Red ink.  With stamping done I scored above and below the front stamped wreath as Brenda instructs but did not crease these scored lines. With the card flat I cut out the center of the wreath on the front of the card. Removed that small die and then cut out half of the wreath on the front of the card using the matching wreath die following Brenda's how-to's on the video. With the wreath die cut I erased all pencil marks and then creased my scored lines using a bone folder.

Wanted some sparkle on my card so I cut out the bow die twice using red glittered card stock from Hobby Lobby and the bow die in the wreath bundle set. Then cut a small piece of this card stock for the lower front of the card. Put the bows on the wreaths using glue dots. Used the ATG to add the red glittered card stock to the lower card front.

This is an easy card to put together and a big thanks to Zoe Tant for sharing her card and her how-to's and to Brenda Quintana for making the video for this card. The video is easy to follow and she shows each step to make this easy flip card. TFL

Great job on getting everything lined up, Candee! The wreath with the glittery bow is so pretty!

Thanks Bonnie for the blog visit and nice comment. The one thing about this card if you follow all the suggestions on the video is the two wreaths line up perfectly and no adjusting is needed. This card was so simple to put together and it certainly has the WOW factor that a flip card has. Fun card to put together! Candee P
