First day out . . .

Three weeks ago my PIC (stamping Partner In Crime) had foot surgery and this week they gave her the "boot" so she is mobile again !! All is well and now we can get back out and about....

Today was the day a Stampin Up demonstrator (thanks Martha!) held her annual used/no longer needed and retired products stamp sale. I picked up my PIC in the dark this morning and we headed out to the sale. Happy us when we arrived (a little early) Martha let us shop as she was setting up so that was nice of her.

Earlier this year my PIC and I shopped two other used stamping product sales and at both of those sales I was hoping to find the Stampin Up Post Card stamp. I did not find that stamp at either sale but certainly came home with enough new to me items to keep me happy -- ;0).   Today I had told my PIC the only thing I really was looking for was that Post Card stamp and I certainly was not expecting to find it... I have looked on Ebay for it but I do not want to pay $25.99 or higher for a used stamp so I figured this is just one of those stamps you never can find..... until.....

First table of stamps I shopped there was the Post Card stamp and Martha was selling it for $5.00!!! Needless to say it is in my craft room now and ready for use -- I also bought two other stamp sets that were $5.00 each as well:

One of the stamp sets is the Thankful Life and that is a three step polymer stamp set and it is a Hostess stamp set and those are not easy to find. Also was happy to buy two new to me die sets:

Cups and Kettle and Garden Grown die sets. I think they were about $12 or so but certainly worth buying them. Also found three re-inkers for a dollar each that I can use for water colouring and such:

Then another big find -- before Easter I almost had ordered the Some Bunny stamp set that is exclusive to Simon Says Stamp and I think they sell it for $15.99 or there abouts -- I now own it and I paid $2.00:

So happy I had not ordered it and was able to find it today. My PIC also found some great items and she was very happy -- she picked up a MINI MISTI for $5.00 in mint condition so I am sure that will get a lot of use for her future projects.... Certainly a good sale day for us her first day out and about.... Happy I was able to get her home by lunch time as I did not want to keep her out all day since this is her first day out of the house.... Happy stampers we are for sure!  Now to actually get to make a card again!!!  Back to paper crafting for me ......

Where do you find the Stampin Up sales

Hi Cindy - The sale we went to on Saturday is held by an SU demonstrator and I follow her postings so with this sale she sent out emails to everyone on her list. Usually I find sales on CraigsList but a lot of stampers belong to groups on Facebook so you can find postings there as well. Thanks for your blog visit! CP

I'm glad Donna could get out again and you sure found some good bargains. I'm sure you will make good use of them. I'm glad you found the postcard stamp you really, really wanted!

If you ever see a Soft Sky reinker, would you pick it up for me. I'm almost out!
