Candy Corn Tags
Made some tags up for Halloween using #110 weight white card stock from Mikes. Used a tag die from my stash and cut out my tags. With that finished I used yellow and orange ink and covered the lower part of the tags:
I used two small circle punches and made card stock rings to put around the tag holes to make them stronger. All ribbons and twine at the tag tops are from my stash. Some of the tags I added washi tape to and one tag I used a stencil for:
The tag on the left I used white glittered card stock and cut out a Sizzix ghost die. The "BOO" was die cut using black glittered card stock. For the greeting Trick or Treat I cut that out using a washi punch. Used a small star punch to punch out stars from scraps I had. The candy corn washi tape is from the stash. Behind the ghost is a small piece of cheesecloth.
The tag on the right also uses the candy corn washi tape and cheesecloth and I added pumpkin washi tape from the stash. The ghost was die cut out using a ghost die from SimonSaysStamp. Added more of the punched stars to this tag.
Here are two more tags:
For the tag on the left I used a Tim Holtz Halloween word stencil for my background. I sponged the edges of the tag using a dauber and black ink. I added a tulle spiderweb that I cut out of spiderweb tulle from the Dollar Tree from last fall. I used a bug punch and punched out a bug using black glittered card stock. I put foam tape behind him to add dimension. The ghosts are a small Sizzix die and I used white glittered card stock and cut out the two ghosts and put foam tape behind them as well. Here is a closer photo of that tag:
Added sequins using Glossy Accents. The last tag:
I used pumpkin washi from the stash across the upper part of the tag. Used a small plastic spiderweb confetti from a Halloween confetti bag from the stash. For the "Trick or Treat" I die cut those from glittered card stock scraps and used TomBow glue to add them to the tag. The black glittered card stock fence is an older yellow steel ruled Sizzix die from the stash. For the gnome I used the smaller gnome die from SimonSaysStamp and a 6x6 paper pad for his hat and robe.
I wanted to put a pumpkin in front of the fence but my pumpkin dies and punches were too large. So I used a small oval punch and punched out three ovals for the pumpkin. I sponged the edges and used TomBow glue to put them together. I used scissors to cut out the stem and sponged that as well. Used clear glue to add the stem to the pumpkin.
For the fence piece I used tear and tape to keep that flat on the tag and the gnome has foam tape behind him and the pumpkin is on the fence also using the tear and tape. The foam tape gives the gnome some dimension. Had mini stars in the Halloween scrap bag I have so I took those out and covered them with clear Wink of Stella and put them randomly on the tag front using Glossy Accents. More tags I am working on but for now these are completed.

Bunny Rosettes
Made more rosettes and this time I made rosettes as Easter embellishments. I had seen a few different rosettes for Easter but I liked the idea of using a bunny with the rosette. Here is a photo of the printed card stocks I have in my stash that I used for my rosettes:
I cut out all the rosettes and folded them:
I looked through my Easter die stash and found two bunny dies I decided to use for my bunny rosette:
The above bunny die is by Echo Park and it is called Peter Cottontail die set - I bought mine at: franticstamper.com. This other bunny die I used the feet dies only:
This is the Bunny die from Elizabeth Craft that I bought at their booth at the last stamp show I attended. Here is a photo of the assembled rosettes:
For some of my bunnies I used white glittered card stock, white foil card stock, and a kraft and a gray card stock as well as #110 white card stock from Mikes. Here is a photo showing the bunny rosette being assembled:
Here is a photo of some of the rosettes completed:
Once I cut out the bunny head/ears piece I cut off the lower bunny and this is what it looks like on the backside of the rosette:
I found it was easier to die cut all my pieces and then hot glue the bunny head/ears piece to the rosette. For the back of the bunny (her bum) I used a 1 1/4" circle punch and I attached the die cut feet to that and then added the pom pom tail while it was flat on the work table and not on the rosette yet. Once that was assembled I then put that on the rosette using hot glue and the bunny was complete.
In the photos you can see the white glittered bunnies have the ears going in a different direction. To do this I die cut those from the backside of the glittered card stock. But all the other bunnies I cut them in the same direction. Fun embellishment for Easter and easy to assemble.
Here is the last of the bunny rosettes and for some of them I added white sparkle tulle from Hobby Lobby:
\
The sparkle tulle adds a little shine to the plain card stock bunnies and feet. To cut the tulle I laid the rosette on top of it and used scissors to cut out the circle shape. Bunny rosettes are complete so off to the next project...... TFL
Sequin Clusters
Had seen a video on YouTube showing Sequin Clusters and after watching that I traced this idea back to Ana at Serenity Creations. Clever idea to add sparkle and shine to a project as well as helping to use the massive sequin collection up..... Here is a photo of the clusters I made:
I used circle punches and heart punches for my 110# card stock bases. Here is a better photo of the heart clusters:
The red/white/pink sequins on the hearts are sequins from a Valentine set at Hobby Lobby. For the fall colour sequins I mixed a few colours together. Here is another photo:
As Ana suggested after I dipped into the sequins I left them flat to dry as if you turn it upside the loose sequins will fall off and that leaves you spaces to fill with more sequins. Once the clusters were dry I added a few sequins here and there to fill areas that showed. Some of my clusters are higher than others that I made - on the videos you can see higher and lower clusters depending on the shape used or the sizes of the sequins. Thanks to Ana for sharing her idea originally.

More BOO Day Bag Toppers
Had shared these BOO Day bag toppers earlier this week on the blog:
But I also made other bag toppers using a printed card stock on the front of the bag topper:
How I cut the front printed card stock panel was I put the bag topper die onto a piece of the printed card stock and die cut that out:
I laid the handle die onto this piece and used washi tape to hold that in place to cut it out:
Removed the die and that gave me the printed panel for the front of the bag topper:
Here is a photo to show this piece on the bag topper front:
To add the glittered black tulle to the bottom of the bag topper I attach it to the back of the front of the bag. I use a ruler and make a pencil line and use tear and tape over the pencil line. I cut the tulle a little more than twice the width of the bag topper and I fold the tulle in half and put this in the center of the bag topper:
I push the tulle into the tape in the center and then do both ends the same way. With those three points done I just evenly lay the tulle across the tape and press it down. Once it is all on I use another piece of tear and tape over that to hold the pleats in place. I either put a piece of ribbon over this or use washi tape over it to give the inside of the bag topper a more finished look and to help keep the gathered tulle in place. Using scissors I trim away the tulle to the length I want the bag topper to have:
With that all done I can now decorate the front of the bag topper with die cuts or stickers or whatever. Easy die to use and being able to dress up the front with printed card stock also adds dimension. Another use for this bag topper die by Sizzix/Lori Whitlock.
Circle Embellishments
Had seen this video by Wandy Sweets for her cute embellishments and so I made some for myself:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDyjBId8OG4
Here is a photo of my embellishments:
These would be cute on clothspins, or paperclips, or even as a decoration on a bag topper. The only thing different I did was I used white/GP as backing for all my circles for the embellishments as some of my printed card stock is lightweight. The backing card stock makes the circles more sturdy and this will help if I should use them on paperclips or the clothespins.
Here is a closer photo of them:
All the card stocks are from my stash and the only thing I did not have was the word beads. I bought a bag of those at Mikes and these are very easy to put together. Cute idea -- am thinking I will make some up using Christmas card stocks or maybe snowflake card stocks for the holidays. Thanks to Wandy for her cute idea and an easy video to follow!

BOO Day Bag Toppers
Made two of the treat bag toppers for BOO Day using the Sizzix Treat Bag Topper die by Lori Whitlock that I had in the stash:
With all the die cutting I have been doing lately I had plenty to choose from for these bag toppers:
This first bag topper uses SU Pumpkin Pie card stock and various dies to decorate the front of the bag topper. Here is a photo of that bag topper:
For the ghosts I used white foil card stock from AC Moore to cut those out. The fence piece I had cut to a smaller size than the die cut piece and covered it with clear Wink of Stella to add some shine to that. The pumpkin is button that I cut the shank off and put that on the front of the fence. The small spider web is plastic and it is from a bag of holiday confetti I had bought last fall. Used holographic card stock for the stars. Glittered black tulle is from Hobby Lobby.
This next topper:
Card stock is again SU and the multi glittered tulle is also from Hobby Lobby. The black glittered bat was punched out using a M Stewart bat punch. The ghost is an older Sizzix die and I die cut that out of glittered white card stock. Added a spider web bow tie to him with a crystal from the stash. Again used the holographic card stock for the handle to the bag as well as the stars. Here is a photo to show his spider web bow tie:
I used foam tape to pop him up on the topper for dimension. This bag topper die cuts the thicker card stocks and glittered/foiled card stocks easily so you have a nice cut. For my pleated tulle I used tear and tape and hand pleated the tulle and trimmed off the edges even with the bag topper piece. Then to finish it off I put tear and tape over the pleated tulle and put a thinner ribbon on that so when the bag topper is open and you can see the backside it looks finished. TFL

Christmas Rosettes
Working on different holiday things and wanted to make up some of the rosette embellishments for Christmas projects. Used the Sizzix rosette thinlit die set and holiday prints from my stash:
Die cut the rosettes and assembled those. For the foil snowflake under the rosettes I used foiled card stocks and a large snowflake die from the stash. Some foil card stocks are lighter weight than others so for all my foil rosettes I had also cut out a snowflake using white/GP card stock to adhere to the foil snowflake to give the snowflakes more weight. I used an Avery glue stick to cover the white card stock snowflake and then put the foiled snowflake on top. Set these aside to dry.
Used a 5/8" circle punch and punched out a foil circle for the center of the rosettes and added a white pearl from the stash to the center of that. Used E6000 to put the circle on the center of the rosette. To adhere the rosette to the foil snowflake I used E6000 glue and a dot of hot glue to be sure they would adhere. Here is a photo of some of the completed rosettes:
At holiday time it will be helpful to have my embellishment pieces completed in advance so will keep these in a box until they are needed. Also want to start working on holiday tags . . .
This next photo is for Ann D to show the two striped card stocks are diagonal prints:

Snowflake Shimmer and Shine Treat Holder
Before AC Moore closed it's doors I shopped a nearby store where I found silver holographic card stock on closeout. I bought a few sheets knowing I wanted to use this card stock for holiday snowflakes. Brought the card stock home and put it away for later projects . . .
Early last week I shopped at Hobby Lobby and they had all their Paper Studio card stocks on sale and I picked up four sheets of this special card stock. It is a 12x12 sheet of white card stock that looks like it has silver polka dots but when you move the card stock you can see it is holographic. I remembered the ACM card stock for the snowflakes so I decided I would make up some treat bags using these specialty card stocks for Christmas. Here is a photo of the treat bag I made:
Hard to photograph this specialty paper to just show the silver dots so I turned off the lights and took the above photo. Here is a photo of the shimmer and shine the snowflake has:
For the bag I used the Favor Bag die from Mama Elephant and this is a very easy bag to put together:
For the snowflake I used a Spellbinders snowflake die and I cut that out of the holographic card stock. I wanted this snowflake to have some weight so I took a scrap piece of white'GP card stock and covered it with Stick It sheet and die cut out another snowflake. I peeled off the sticky backing and put the white card stock snowflake behind the silver snowflake. Here is a photo to show the backside of the snowflake:
I used silver/white twine from Hobby Lobby to tie the snowflake onto the front of the bag. Here is another photo to show the shimmer of the holographic card stock:
Using this bag die I can get three bag pieces from one 12x12 piece of card stock. Using two pieces of this card stock will give me 3 treat bags. LawnFawn also has a bag die similar to this die set but their bag is much smaller. I have used this MamaElephant die set for other treat holders and it a good size but not too big - holds a small gift or chocolate treats, etc.. Simple but sparkly for a holiday treat!

Pizza Rosettes
Made the boxes to put my Halloween Rosettes on - the boxes are cut and assembled and I am starting to decorate the boxes now and nothing is attached yet. I measured the finished rosettes and decided a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 pizza box would be a perfect size box for the rosettes. Here is a photo of some of them I made:
I finished die cutting the printed card stocks for the top of the pizza boxes and am now cutting out printed card stocks for the inside of the boxes for the bottom but wanted to get this post on the blog first.
The measurements for the pizza box are:
Solid card stock 10" x 5 1/2"
Score all four sides of this card stock at 1"
With the 10" side at the top of the scoreboard score it at 4 1/2" and again at 5 1/2"
Using the bone folder crease all the scored lines and clip the tabs for the box
Using tear and tape I put the boxes together
For my boxes I used kraft card stock and a couple of coloured card stocks as well as solid black. This size box is a good size to fit the rosettes on as well as it will hold a few chocolate Halloween treats.
Also -- this week my two orders from online stores for their Memorial Day sales arrived --
HoneyBee stamps -- their packing for these dies is really cute and I am keeping that bag and will use it on some projects - here is a photo of the bag:
The second order I received is from KatScrappiness and here are those dies:
Lots of new items for the craft room..... already have ideas in mind for both orders.... but first I want to finish up the Pizza Rosettes treat boxes for BOO Day....
