Over time both Stampin Up and Sizzix have combined to bring us bigz dies for treat holders. But as the market has changed so have our dies. Now we can buy the thinner metal dies --- much smaller and easier to store. Now our die sets offer the treat holder shape with extra dies for labels, windows, tags, words, and details to ad to our treat holders.
To begin with long ago I bought the Mini Milk Carton bigz die and I just made up this one to show it in the photo:
Simple and cute and small. But it is a free standing treat holder and lots you can use this for. But I wanted different shaped treat holders for different occasions and such so I did buy the SU/Sizzix bigz die Fry Box. Here is a photo to show the size of the Mini Milk Carton compared to the Fry box:
Now in the newest Stampin Up catalog is a new treat holder -- Baker's Box. Perfect for cookies, brownies, cookie bars, etc.. But the price? I was not sure about.. so did some research on this die set and in the end? I bought one -- here is what it looks like:
This next photo shows this Baker's Box size with the other two treat holders:
Here is a photo of the actual Baker's Box die set:
This die set has the die shape for the Baker's Box, two label dies, a circle and a heart as well as three dies you can use on the top flap of the box to tie it closed with ribbons or twine or to clip closed with clothespins. Also has a die that spells out "Yum" if giving some home made treats. It is nice this set has many extra dies in it esp with the price. Much easier to store these thinner die sets not to mention to pack them for your stamp club/class or scrapbooking crop. TFL and YOLO
