Channel Halloween Card

Memory Box Happy Halloween Channel die was used for the front of this card. Used a mini scallop die for the purple card stock behind the channel piece.

To make the card I cut and scored a piece of black card stock. Laid the channel die across the lower front of the black card. Ran this through the die cutting machine. Once that was cut I removed the die and using the trimmer I trimmed off about 1/4" on the end the channel die was on. This allows my purple card stock to show below the channel piece.

For the purple piece first I cut the purple card stock both a bit longer and a bit wider than I would need for the card front. Then I cut the one end using the mini scalloped die. Put the purple piece behind the channel die card front to decide how much to trim off the top for the length I wanted it to be. Used the ATG for adhesive on the back side of the channel die cut front and put the purple card stock behind the channel die cut card front. Using the trimmer I trimmed off the purple card stock sides that were too wide for the card.

Used scrap card stock for the pumpkin piece and die cut the pumpkin. Sponged the edges of that. Put this tiny pumpkin on the channel die cut piece using a glue dot:

To store this small pumpkin die that goes with the channel die I used painters tape and taped this tiny die to the channel die for storage:

This way this tiny pumpkin die will not get lost in storage and I will know where it is for the next use of this channel die.

Used scrap white card stock for the ghosts and lightly sponged the edges of those with black ink. Using striped card stock I cut a piece of that for the upper card front. Put that onto the card stock base using the ATG.  For the washi tape across the bottom of the card I used washi tape from the dollar store. TFL

  1. A fantastic Halloween card, Candee! Great tip on storing that little die piece! I need to do that in several die sets as the magnet doesn't always hold well.
