Road Trip

My PIC (stamping Partner In Crime) and I decided we would make our last craft show trip of 2023 this week to a stamping show in Sevierville, TN which is about a 6 hour drive from where we live. Since we were headed in that direction anyways on our way we stopped at the Repurpose store in Greensboro:

We shopped for about an hour and headed out to finish our trip - here is a photo of crafty items I picked up there:

We stopped for a quick lunch on our way I took some photos of the tree colours on our way:

We made it to Sevierville and the hotel the day before the show and all was well:

Before we found the hotel tho we stopped at the Scrapbook Superstore at the Governor's Crossing plaza:

The owner has two store fronts next to each other - one store has all the new products on the market and her second store front has all the clearance items from older collections, products, etc.  I had seen a couple of videos on YouTube from crafters who shopped this store and they show how many products both stores have. I shopped both stores but I bought items from the new products store:

This Christmas die set from Crafter's Companion makes three different style boxes all in one set:

This store has so much of everything -- racks and racks of card stocks and paper collections, kits, stencils, stamps, dies, trims, inks, tools, etc.. a definite must stop to shop in the area if you go -

For Christmas my DSD had made me Wizard of Oz ruby Crocks -- very sparkly in the sun.. I have worn these Crocks to a lot of places... my PIC liked them so my DSD made her a pair in her favorite colour purple and here is a photo of our Crocks we wore to the stamp show:

Here is a photo of the waterfall in front of the Convention Center where the show was:

When we decided to go to this show we had never attended before we knew it was going to be small but we were expecting 17 vendors but when we arrived there was only 16.... but at least Creek Bank Creations was there and we always shop their booth:

Creek Bank had a sale - buy 3 stamp/die sets and get a fourth free so I picked up 4 die sets and saved $16.95 there:

Picked up two white gel pens and a huge acrylic stamp block for $8.00 at the TooMuchFun booth:

Also at the Dies to Die for booth I picked up a couple of dies:

Loved the samples they showed with the Witch skirt/legs die set. The word die set says "Trick of Treat" and "Smell My Feet". My favorite tho is the top die set which is a melting snowman and here is a photo of their made up sample of this die set:

Happy to be able to shop the booth for Gina Marie Designs dies - here is what I bought:

An Easter basket die that has the woven piece with it and when assembled it is very dimensional. The word and shadow die says "thankful". She had a special at her booth that if you paid with cash you saved 10% on your purchase -- her booth was very busy.... the lady in front of me bought $300.00 worth of dies so she was happy.....  I also bought this for using paper napkins on my crafts:

That booth also sold all sorts of napkins in packs to make 8 cards and they also sold a kit that had this roller, ModPodge, and foam brushes -- but I only needed the roller so that is what I bought. They also sell everything on their website    mycraftproject.com.

Also picked up a witch shaker die set from JillianVance:

Before we left the show I went back to Creek Bank and picked up two more items to bring home:

When we were done at the show we rode around a bit and came across this cute holiday porcupine:

He is made out of a bale of hay with the hay pulled out to look like his quills with straw to look like his feet -- cute. Here is a photo of a street sign:

Dollywood is not far from where the show was and all the tourist activities surrounded us. I will say there are NO street signs so finding any was a plus -- thinking with so many tourists they would have everything labeled but no - GPS is telling you to turn onto streets and none of them had signs so we had no idea where anything was....  Pretty Smokey Mountains so the scenery was nice. Headed back home and made it by midnight so we were happy -- ;0)

Nice to be able to shop a great scrapbook store and then the show and to see all the products in person and not to just order something from an online store or Amazon. Happy with all I found and happy we were able to go to a show in person since these shows are far and few between now. Next show on our calendar is the show in Columbia, SC in February and that is a lot closer to us then this show so it is a day trip and we will not need a hotel.... which saves more money for crafting items!!  Thanks to our Cuber driver -- DH -- who says he is the Uber driver for us crafters....
