Christmas Treat Holder Wreaths

Had seen this idea done last year at the end of the holiday season so I made sure to write it down in my notebook for future holiday treat holders and this is the first one I made this year:

I also used the Lindor Lindt chocolates:

To make these candy wreaths I bought the candies on sale at Walgreens and I had to buy the cellophane roll from Amazon:

I rolled out the cellophane onto the black craft mat and cut a piece 8" x 16". Leaving the cellophane flat I put 5 candies onto that:

With the candies laid out I folded over the cellophane to surround the candies. For my wreaths I used red and white twine from my stash and I cut 6 pieces of that to a 7" length. I tied the twine in the center and then worked my way out to each end, pushing the candies close to each other as I tied a triple knot with the twine between them:

Once all the twine was tied on I used a Dollar Tree craft clamp to keep the ends together so I could tie my red organdy ribbon around them to keep it closed.

Very easy and quick holiday treat holder -- a pretty holiday ribbon could be used at the top of the wreath with small bells or a little tag stamped with a holiday greeting.... Other candies could be used - peanut butter cups as well as other round individually wrapped chocolates. Also the Lindor candies are available in assorted packs so you don't only have to use the candies in the red foil. 

For the tying of the twine in between the candies - I have a thinner red and white twine but you can buy the baker's twine in the candy aisle at the craft store and it will be thicker and the bakers twine is cheaper than the packs of twine sold in the paper craft section at the craft store. Instead of twine a thin ribbon or foil ribbon could also be used between the candies to make your wreath more fancy. I am not sure who this idea originated with but it is a cute holiday treat holder and simple to assemble. Could also be put on the front of a gift or hanging on a tree or used as a holiday place setting decoration. Happy I was able to finally make this treat holder for this holiday season. . .
