Christmas Patchwork Stocking

This card was made with scraps from another Christmas card I made. It is on red cardstock from SU and white cardstock from Walmart. I used Spellbinders Label 8 for the card and the front. The green ribbon and bow are from the stash jar. I used the Sizzix "Ornament, light, and stocking" die for the stocking. The stocking top is red glitter paper from Hobby Lobby. To make the patchwork I used the 3/4 inch punch from EK Success. I used SU Red Riding Hood red ink to lightly sponge the edges of the front white piece. I used the Sizzix and Cuttlebug machines. Quick and easy and it used up some more scraps.

Cut Away Card

This card is a cut away card--I made the card from Paper Trey Ink Kraft paper
and then cut away half of the front. I took a piece of brown cardstock I had from Hobby Lobby and I then rolled out the "Watercolor Vine" wheel from SU in clear Versa Mark Ink. I put clear embossing powder on that and heat set that. I set that aside while I cut the blue cardstock from SU and the blue multi print paper I got at Michaels for the other half of the front of the card.  I stamped "Thinking of you" in Basic Brown ink from SU and using a small oval punch from Fiskars I cut that out and sponged the edges also in the brown ink. Using a small scallop punch from SU I punched out an oval from the brown paper. Using pop dots I put that on the front of the card. I used blue crystals from Hobby Lobby. I then used a square hole punch from Fiskars and punched a square on the fold of the card. I then put the brown organdy ribbon through this hole and tied it in a bow. I then taped the brown embossed piece to the card next to the blue print so looking at the card it looks like the brown is also the front of the card.   **This card was published in the "Just Cards" magazine, Fall 2011**
