Another example of what a good stamp cleaner can do for you. Bought these at the "Scrap Exchange" in Durham today and they were covered in old inks. Brought them home and sprayed them with what I use to clean my stamps with---1/2 Simple Green to 1/2 water--shake and spritz. I fill two spray bottles with this mixture so I do not run out when cleaning my stamps. I spray the stamps and then use the stamp scrubbing pad to clean them off. For more intricate stamps I spray them with the cleaning mixture and use a soft toothbrush in my stamping stash and then use the scrubbing pad. The Simple Green mixture lasts a lot longer than the store bought cleaners and it is A LOT cheaper. Plus the stamps are cleaner using this mixture. It has been the only stamp cleaner I have used for the last year or so. So if you should see inked old stamps---do not hesitate to buy them, clean them up, and stamp away!

These are treats for Valentines Day. Had seen this idea by Connie B. on InkspiredTreasures.com. She used a flower and made it into a dragonfly. Once again my stamps are packed up for the move into the new craft room so I went through my Sizzix dies and found this die--Butterfly #3. I used all scrap papers for the butterflies and the paper on the clothespins. I ran a glue stick down the clothespins on both sides and put the print papers on. Used clear crystals for the eyes from my stash. The bags for the candies are from the candy making aisle at AC Moore and using double sided Scotch tape I closed the bag and used a second piece of tape to keep it folded over. I then laid the M&M treat bags flat and divided the bag in half--twisted the center and put the clothespin on. The bags I used are the 6" x 3.75". Used glue dots to put the butterflies on the clothespins. One bag has plain chocolate M&Ms and the other has the Cherry Cordial M&Ms.

This card is on red card stock from Stampin Up with various papers for the rest. I used the Classic Scallop Hearts die** by Spellbinders for the scalloped red piece for the card. Used pink decorated paper for the pink piece which I used the Classic Hearts dies for. For the patchwork piece I used a square punch and punched out various papers. Put a piece of white card stock that was larger than the heart die I was going to use in the Xyron for adhesive. I then put the squares together on this adhesive piece and put the die on top of that. Cut it out using the Cuttlebug. I then sponged the edges using a dauber and Real Red ink from Stampin Up. I used red and white twine to tie around the one side of the heart. Using the computer I printed out "Love" and used a small heart from the die set to cut that out. Sponged the edges of that and used a pop dot behind it for dimension. **To keep heart shaped card standing upright I clipped the curved edge off the front and the inside of the bottom of the heart in the center.

This card is similar to one I had seen on Splitcoast. The basket die and various hearts are made using the two dies from Cat's Pajamas---their dies are called "CutUps" and the first one is the Eggs in a Basket die and the hearts are made using the Hearts Trio die. Basket is sponged on the edges with SU Creamy Caramel ink. Used red card stock from Recollections/Michaels and the heart print is from Hobby Lobby. The white circle is a die from Spellbinders "Lacey Circles" and I used white card stock from Walmart for that. The red foil hearts are made with punches. The twine is from Doodlebug and the button and lace are from the stash. This is an easy card to make and good use of an Easter basket die! The "just for you" is a stamp from Northwoods Rubber Stamps and I cut that out with scissors.
Card is on red card stock from Recollections/Michaels. Used white from Walmart and the blue is also from Recollections. The wreath stamp is from Taylored Expressions. Used a coloured pencil and a marker for the stars on the wreath. Used circle punches for that and the blue circle behind it. Used Stampin Up Real Red ink for the wreath circle edges. Pieced together the red, white, and blue paper for the stripes and used the Paper Studio Tiny Stars embossing folder from Hobby Lobby for the striped piece, the blue, and the white piece in the Cuttlebug. I used the Cottage Cutz Patriotic Bunting for the banners with the stars. Sponged the edges of the banners with ink and used a small star punch for the silver foil paper for the stars. The "Happy 4th of July" is from the same stamp set as the wreath and I used the Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio die to cut that out. The red/white twine is from Doodlebug. Pop dots are behind the wreath circle for dimension.

Bought sale card stock @ Hobby Lobby for 10 cents a sheet and the "Happy Easter" paper was in the bag. The floral print is paper I picked up this week at the garage sale at the LSS. The blue card stock is from Hobby Lobby. Used the Spellbinders egg dies for the bodies and oval and heart punches for the rest. This is an easy card to make once you put all parts together. Used white card stock from Walmart and egg dies and oval punches to make the shapes---then sponged Dove Gray ink on the edges. Used a small circle punch for the bottom of the feet. Used a pink marker for the dots for the toes on the feet and a fine black marker for the eyes and mouths.Ribbon for the bows are from the stash. Used pop dots behind the bunnies for dimension. The ears, feet, and noses are put on with glue dots.

This card is on kraft card stock from Stampin Up and the brown is also SU. Used red from Recollections @ Michaels and the white is from Walmart. The basket/hearts stamp is from Northwoods Rubber Stamps. I used StazOn black ink for this and then used a glue pen for the glue and fine red glitter for the hearts. Did not have small enough word stamps for the "for you" so printed that on the computer. Used a tag stamp over that that is from Rebecca Sower for EK Success. Then used scissors and cut that out. Over the tag I used a dauber and chalk. For the basket I used colored pencils. The red ribbon is from the stash. Pop dots are behind the tag for dimension.
Card is on pink card stock from Stampin Up, 'geranium' red paper is from Martha Stewart and the dark pink paper behind the tree piece is from Recollections @ Michaels---it is from a pack of paper that is 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" sheets of papers. The white card stock is from Walmart. Used the heart tree stamp from Northwoods Rubber Stamps. I had seen this stamp at Archivers this week. I used StazOn Black ink for the impression of the tree and used various markers to color the tree, hearts, pail, grass, and leaves. Used a glue pen on the dotted pink hearts and put fine white glitter from DeNami Designs on those. Used a greeting stamp by Darcie's for the "Happy Valentine's Day" and I stamped that using white ink from ColorBox. This shows up in person much better than in the picture. Used pink ribbon from my stash at the bottom of the tree.
