It's here - - -

Here is a photo of the new Stampin Up catalog I just received from Martha @ Stampin Up. I took it to the office supply store and had a clear cover put on the front and the back of the catalog and had it spiral bound.

Has been awhile since SU had a good catalog --- this is one of their better catalogs they have offered in a few years. New die sets, new punches, great project photos and the like. Orders can be made using this catalog on June 1st -- until then the current catalog can be ordered from. New pricing for the "bundles". Used to be the stamp/die bundle pricing reflected 15% off the price of the two. After June 1st the bundle price will drop to 10% of the price of the two.

Thanks to Martha for my copy of this new catalog -- her online store is:

If you need a Stampin Up demonstrator Martha can help -- she has been a demonstrator for Stampin Up for many years, knows their product line, teaches classes, very helpful, and enjoys what she does. Give her a try -- you can order through her online store and have your order sent to your home or office. Here is the catalog:

Tickled Pink Card

New stamp set, matching die set, matching card stock, AND matching washi tape from Close To My Heart ---

Here is the card I just made using my new products from Close To My Heart:

New Tickled Pink stamp set and matching die set:

Close To My Heart has this down to a science. . . . their stamps are clear stamps so you always can see where you are stamping. Good to stamp with acrylic blocks and also the MISTI stamping tool. Now they offer die sets with some stamp sets. In the above photo you see the stamp set on the left and the die set on the right. Both the stamp set and die set come in their plastic envelopes for storage. They also sell the die sets on magnetic sheets --

All the customer has to do is use them --- no cutting a magnetic sheet for the dies to be stored on or anything. With both products stored in like envelopes you can store them together as well -- great idea from CTMH.

If you are needing any CTMH products you can order from the same gal I do: and have your order shipped to your home or work. Flamingos are all over the place now --- TFL and YOLO

Product FYI

This post is totally NON crafting in nature but wanted to share it --- over time the covers on the headlights of my car have developed a film -- which makes the headlights at night look dim. Have washed the car and tried this and that and so it goes. . . until....

Was at the big W store and picked up Turtle Wax Lens Restorer in the automotive department and brought it home to try. Taped off the headlights as per the instructions and here is one of the lights before I used the Lens Restorer on it:

Not only can you see the cloudy film on the headlight cover but you could also feel this with your hand. I followed the box instructions and with one application here is the right light after the treatment:

Can now see the light bulbs!! The cleaner does not pit the headlight cover or leave a film or anything. Once I finished using this Lens Restorer product I removed the yellow painter's tape and washed the car as usual. Very easy product to use and great results --- went for a drive that night to see the difference in the headlights and what a difference!  Happy to find a product that works as easy as it says it will as as well as it did. Just thought I would share ---

Road trip ---

This weekend DH had a swap meet for auto parts in Kannapolis, NC near Charlotte. I usually do not tag along for those sales but due to location I was happy to go.... This swap meet/sale is about a 20 minute ride to Ikea and so it goes.... and so did I . . . .  :0)

We headed out early for the three hour drive and I helped DH unload his trailer and got his 'spot' all set up and organized. He took the trailer off his truck and I took the truck to IKEA. Ikea is next to Hobby Lobby so I stopped in there as well and picked up Wink of Stella on clearance -- happy me.... Then I walked through Ikea and picked up the plastic boxes with lids by Kuggis that they sell and I also picked up two more items --- these are desk "mats" and were $5.99 each. They are now on my ink counter and the work island in the craft room -- they are opaque and big enough to cover the work surface. Plus they wipe clean so I will not have to worry about inks and such. Here is a photo of the bar code number and product name:

Much cheaper, and larger, than a silicone mat and the price was too good to pass up. I left there and off to The Paper Muse store.

The Paper Muse store is owned by Daphne -- Daphne used to teach card making classes at a store I once shopped at and she is an excellent teacher. But she moved away and so her classes stopped. I came across the name of her store she opened and location and this is my second trip to Daphne's store. Well worth the trip both times -- yesterday I picked up these great finds at her store:

The BEST thing about visiting Daphne's store is all the inspiration --- she has product samples all over the place -- cards hanging on the walls above the products she used to make the cards, card stocks every where you turn -- the newest of new products -- stamps, dies, inks, etc and good prices as well!

When I lived in upstate NY I would go to all the stamp shows at the convention centers in our surrounding areas and many times Rubbernecker Stamps would be at these shows. Never have seen their stamps in a store before but Daphne stocks them --- so happy me to find their stamps yesterday! So I asked Daphne if I could order product from her and she could mail it to me? She said she could -- so this will be great for me since I have no local store to shop at other than the big box stores that have the same old, same old products.... If you should be looking for something special or maybe don't have a local paper crafting store send her an email as I am sure she can help --

Her store, The Paper Muse, is in Matthews, NC and it is in a small plaza to the side of the movie theatre on Rice Road. Here is her address:

The Paper Muse
1905 Rice Road Ext, Unit 108
Matthews, NC  28105
PHONE:  704 443 7917

She carries the dies and stamps by Ken Oliver and today Ken Oliver is at her store for classes -- sad me that I missed him but great for crafters that Daphne has people come for demonstrations and classes and such. She does scrapbooking, journaling, card making, etc. Paper crafts and all that involves. I have been there twice and both times have left inspired to the max --- well worth the drive for sure and DH has been instructed that any future swap meets ANYWHERE in that area I am to be notified in advance!! :0)

If you are in the area it makes for a great day trip -- her store is FULL of inspiration and products and she is very knowledgeable and helpful. Once you load up your great finds from her store a quick drive to Ikea to organize it all -- all makes for a great day!  :0)   TFL and YOLO

Garage sale - ing . . .

Have been to a few crafter's yard sales lately and many great finds for me... First sale I picked up:

This is the washi tape dispenser by We R Memory Keepers. I have far too many washi tapes to use this as a dispenser and storage but for the holidays for cards and tags and such it will be handy to have all my holiday washi tapes on this holder for easy use. Each spindle holds two regular sized washi tape rolls and for the wider tape I will just put one on each spindle. Great find for sure.

Lots of trims and blings -- the holiday felt pieces will be perfect for gift tags and box tags and such.

Happy me to find the flat punches from SU! I replaced my "whale" punches (their black punches like the star and heart punches above) with these flat punches. They are easier to store and with thicker card stocks easier to punch. Also in the second photo of punches are the thicker twines from SU and a partial sheet of their pearl bling. Like the pearls as you can colour them using a Sharpie marker to go with any colour you are using on your projects. The sale I bought these items from was great--I picked up the SU clear block set to replace the 3 SU blocks I had picked up used many years back, SU ribbons, dimensionals, ink pads --- many of those are the new style ink pads so I replaced my older linen ink pads with those -- other items as well.

At another sale I picked up more sealed packs of card stocks -- many colours I did not already have -- now are in their new home on the card stock shelf in my craft room.

As for stamps I have many favorite wood mounted stamp sets from SU that I would like to replace with the cling version and I was able to locate a few of those cling sets so that was good. Easier to store than the wood and I can use the cling stamps with my MISTI.

Good sales for sure. More and more crafters are selling their no-longer used products before the new SU catalog comes out June 1st so this is a good 'season' for us crafters looking to stretch our crafting budget. TFL and YOLO
