Recently bought the Bewitched die set from Simon Hurley with Spellbinders and that arrived this week:
Very easy cat to assemble since the dies not only cut the card stock but also emboss the pieces where to place the eyes and nose pieces. Here is my card:
For the "Happy Halloween" on the cat card the lettering is very thin so I used a tip I learned from NB Cards on YouTube to add my glue to the letters:
A silicone brush, trimmed close to the handle and even across, tap it into liquid glue on the craft mat and tap this on the back of the word/letters. This way when you put the word onto the shadow piece you will not have glue squishing out of the letters all over the place. Here is a photo of the "Happy" and the "Halloween" on the card:
I added clear Wink of Stella to the black part of the cat's eyes for some sparkle:
I also wanted to use a glitter purple card stock for the witch hat on my cat but the only glittered purple card stock I have in my stash has a white core so when I cut out the witch hat die you could see the white all around the edges of the hat piece. To fix that problem I used a purple Sharpie and ran it around all the edges of the hat so you will not see the white core. I wanted both of the cat ears to peek out of the witch hat so I put the front of the hat on the face and then put the back piece - the regular purple card stock that looks like the lining to the hat -on last on the back of the cat. Very easy card to assemble as the cat goes together quickly. Cute kitty for Halloween.....
