Hero Arts Spooky Season Letterpress/Foil Plates

Just hot foiled the new Hero Arts Spooky Season Letterpress/Foil plates for Halloween projects ahead. I hot foiled them on white card stock. black, and green. For the foil I used shiny gold foil, matte gold foil, silver foil, dark pink foil, and a few holographic foils. Here is a photo of the packaging for these new plates:

I have the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine and the platform fits tightly in that machine.  In the past I have tried taping the foil and card stock to the plates, tried the "binding" method, etc but still had over foiling or the plates would "jump" when I removed the platform from my machine. Luckily one day I saw a video on YouTube by Carissa Wiley and she was hot foiling something for her card and what she does is heat up the platform, with the plate on it, and then she removes the platform with plate from her machine. Then she puts the foil and her card stock on top of the plate and runs it through her machine. No over foiling and her plates do not jump. Decided to try her method and happy me it works and I have followed this ever since when hot foiling. On my machine I have a label I made:

This reminds me to pull the platform off the machine, place the foil and card stock on the plate, and then run it through the Big Shot. Have not had any over foiling or shadow images from the plate moving when I pull the platform off the machine.  To foil these new Hero Arts sentiments I put a few sentiments on my platform at a time for foiling:

With all the foiling done I used the matching dies in this set to cut out all my foiled sentiments:

Have lots of sentiments ready for projects ahead and happy this sentiment set has big sentiments and also sentiment strips for the Halloween holiday. Also happy different card stocks can be used for hot foiling so colours can be used and not just white card stock.
