Had seen a crafter on YouTube "Julie's Wreath Boutique" and she made a deco wreath using the Dollar Tree candy cane wreath form. I basically followed her pattern but I used deco mesh from the Dollar Tree and for hers she used the deco mesh from Hobby Lobby. Here is my wreath:
Using the deco mesh from the Dollar Tree I used 7 groups of red mesh and 6 groups of white mesh to cover the candy cane - I think in her video she used 6 of each colour mesh. I also used small plastic ornaments from the stash to make three groups of three to put on the wreath form. Before I did anything with the ornaments I removed the ornament tops and used hot glue to put those on the ornaments so nothing will fall off. Then I used a piece of wire and put the three ornaments together and put them on the wreath form.
Peppermint ribbon is from the stash and red ribbon is from Mikes on sale. To make this wreath I did each cluster of mesh and put them on the wreath rather than have all this deco mesh on the craft table. This wreath went together quickly so I made it in a couple of hours.
A recent trip to Restore and I picked up a green round wreath form and a bag of plastic ornaments - the ornaments were $4.00:
