South Carolina Road Trip

Yesterday DH drove me and my PIC (stamping Partner In Crime) to the SSAT stamp show in Columbia, SC. My PIC and I plan out what shows we will attend each year and start saving for each one in advance. For this show I had saved monies that DH gave me for Christmas and was happy we were able to attend this show. We left in the dark and once again came home in the dark -- driving to the show:

We arrived about an hour early:

The parking lot had a few cars in it when DH dropped us off but that soon filled up:

Once inside we waited for the show to open but here are a few photos of some vendors -- Paper Sweeties was next to Pink & Main near where we were standing:

When you attend the stamp shows the shoppers are given different coupons from the attending vendors for "show specials". Many of these coupons are for the first hour of the show and other coupons could be for the day. Many of the vendors just offer show specials in their booth so you need to stop at each vendor booth to see what their specials are. Since we were entering the show closest to Pink & Main I wanted to shop their booth first.

They offered different specials throughout their booth for stamps, dies, 6x6 card stock pads, bling, etc.. I shopped their dies for the 20% off show special they offered. Here is a photo of the dies I bought:

We both qualified for the "free gift" and we left their booth with their shopping bag -- it is holographic and looks pink and yellow and white and green depending on the light -- here is a photo of the bag showing this:

Off to Heartfelt Creations for our free stamp set and a few other things I found --

and they had their dies on special - buy a certain amount and get a free die set:

The above stamp set was half price on clearance. I am a member of the Platinum Card program they offer so every purchase - sale or otherwise - I receive 20% off my purchase price all the time. More savings for us!  We left there and shopped Creek Bank Creations and shopped their die special:

and I shopped the A Muse booth and bought two die holders for Hershey Nugget candies:

One is a bunny and the other a reindeer.  We shopped at other booths and picked up some odds and ends and then headed out of the show to head home. Before we left Columbia we ate a late lunch and then headed home -- in the dark:

While we were driving home the DSD stopped at the house to check on her fur brother and let him out. She left before we arrived home but she left me a Valentine box of washi tapes. She had shopped these on Clearance at Mikes and she said she paid the clearance price and then was able to use a percentage off coupon for them so a great deal for sure. Here is a photo of these:

and all the packs out of the box:

Certainly thinking I have enough Valentine washi for the next year or two!!! ;0)  So a big thanks to her for picking them up for me!!

Fun shopping weekend for my PIC and myself with lots of projects in mind using our new items! Thanks to DH for being our Cuber Driver once again... (Cuber means he is our Crafting Uber Driver)....  Next show we will be attending is in Chantilly, Va and that is the largest show of the year for us. It is in June so we can start saving up for that!  TFL

Hi Reva -- Enjoy your show in March!! Lucky you have Divinity Designs - they will be at the show in Chantilly, VA that we will attend so I will be happy to be able to shop them again. Always fun to see the "newest of new" items/tools/stamps and dies at the show. Have fun when you go with your daughter!!! Candee P
